Larry Gomez, Winemaker/Owner

As a young man with a dream, Larry earned a BS degree in Fruit Science from Cal Poly SLO, and a MS degree in Agricultural Chemistry focused in Enology from CSUF Fresno. He spent the next 21 years making wine for Lockwood Vineyard, J. Lohr Winery, and the Wildhorse Winery. Larry has been enjoying his Via Vega Vineyard since 1998. The grapes grown here and wines he has created all reflect a lifelong commitment to quality. With his many years of wine production experience we invite you to taste and enjoy what Larry has learned.

Everyone has a role
If you've been to VIA VEGA, you have likely seen our kids. They help out with production, clean up and entertainment. Ella is the musician in the family and has a special spot on our stage performing her originals. Dobby is the offical greeter, from your car door to our patio.
